Horse back riding with the Jones's

Trevor, Kenalee, Rylee, Trapper, Taryn, Cameron, Me and Duke went up to Hooper Utah where Kristi and Kory are living right now. We went horse back riding (thank you Kory and your family) it was wonderful except the time I was on the horse and it took off running without any notice and almost jumped over a junk pile. AHHHHHHH!! I am a little rusty ridding horses. Cameron was a pro like everything else he does. After that we had a nice BBQ at Kory's parents house. Thanks for the fun night and introducing Duke to horses.

Every year for the 4th of July we go up to bear lake and it is one of the most amazing weekends of the year. I love my family!!!!!! The Thornocks, Pinegars, and Hanson combo is trouble but SOOOOO much fun. We missed the Ogdens and Smiths!! Duke is such a great camper but he did not love the wind.
Nothing is better than FAMILY!! We love all of you!!!

Dukes blessing!

Duke was blessed June 27, 2010. His Dad blessed him with Grandma Hanson, Uncle Trevor, Uncle Trapper, Uncle Justin, Uncle Christian, Uncle Chad, Uncle Nolan, Grandpa Longhurst, Ryan Paskett, Nate Paskett, Derek Pettit, and Tyler Riley. Sorry if I forgot anyone,Its been a while. It was so wonderful to have our first baby blessed, it was such a spiritual experience. I am greatful that God has trusted me with one of his choice children. Duke is such a wonderful blessing in our lives and could imagine life with out him. Thank you for everyone's help especially Grandma and Grandpa Hanson, Grandma Cathie, and Opi. (Pictures of Duke in his cute blessing outfit to come.)

What I have learned about motherhood!

Y

I have learned so much in the short three weeks I have been a mom. Duke has taught me one of the biggest life lessons I have always wanted but never had PATIENCE. I still have not mastered the art of patience and don't know if I ever will but I am working on it.
I have also learned never let your guard down. When I think nothing is going to happen that's when it usually does. Here is a few examples, when ever I am not worried about duke peeing on me when I have his diaper wide open and usually on my freshly cleaned sheets he lets it flow. Next when I think I am done burping him it turns out I'm not and he tells me this but throwing up everything he has eaten and more it seems.
One of my favorite things I am noticed is Duke knows who his mommy is. I hand him to someone and he starts to get mad and they hand him back to me and he seems happy again. I talk to him or rock him how he likes and he instantly knows. (or maybe he just smells my boob milk) Whatever it is it is so wonderful to know he loves me just as much a I love him.
I have seen a side of Cameron I never thought even existed. He is the most wonderful father and he loves his little man more than anything. He comes home and holds him and he talks to Duke. Its so cute because Duke just loves to stare at Cameron. I love watching my two guys together I could watch them all night.
Being a mother is the most wonderful thing I could have ever done. I have a wonderful little boy in my life now. I am so greatful to be a mom and a wife.

Brand new baby boy

Duke was born April 7, 2010 at 12:41 pm and weighed 8lbs 5.5oz and was 21 1/4 in. He was a big boy just like everyone thought he would be! He came out after 11 hours of labor and a hour of pushing. It was quiet the experience but one I would never take back because I love my little boy more than words can say. It was an instant love and it grows with each day I am with him. Being a mother and a wife makes my life complete. I have a wonderful husband and an amazing little boy.
